Anna Djougarian, MD
Anna Djougarian, MD, practices comprehensive ophthalmology with an area of expertise in the medical and surgical treatment of glaucoma as well as routine and complex cataract surgery.
Dr. Anna Djougarian graduated magna cum laude from Macaulay Honors College. She obtained her medical degree from New York Medical College in 2013. After an internship in Internal Medicine, she went on to complete her medical and surgical Ophthalmology residency training at Northwell Health, where she served as a chief resident in her senior year. She completed her subspecialty training in medical and surgical glaucoma at the prestigious Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital.
Dr. Djougarian has presented her research at various conferences including the American Glaucoma Society (AGS), the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO). She has a passion for global medicine and resident education. She has traveled on a medical and surgical mission to provide eye care and perform cataract surgery in remote mountain villages in Calca, Peru. She also actively serves as a clinical and surgical attending for the Northwell residency program.
She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), the American Glaucoma Society (AGS) and New York State Ophthalmological Society (NYSOS).
